The author describes the global patterns of geodynamics-related accidents at tailings ponds mining and processing plants. Based on statistical analysis causes such accidents, it is concluded necessity anticipatory mathematico-cartographic modeling geodynamic possible after-effects dams their design stage. allows integrating computation, spatial representation analysis, as well ensures reliable assessment risk zones in dam failure engineering-and-management decision-making with regard to safety. suitability model ensured by RR-criterion formulated compliance fundamental Idea Academician A.
